Open Source Flash CMS

flashcmsEven though I have been using the ‘internets’ since the days of Mosaic and my 2400 baud modem things still never seem to amaze me. For instance, if you google the term “Open Source Flash CMS” it seems Google loves this site. Why I don’t know because my article on the topic is rather shallow, and it seems no many people have written about this topic, or the blogs they write on have low Google Rank. Needless to say I’ve decided to help the ‘internet’s along by providing a list of open source Flash CMS’s here. The list is short, but maybe this will help in your search …

Please keep in mind I have not “vet” these links just yet, but I provide them for the lazy who don’t want to scroll through Google’s listing. I have no idea if these are Good or Bad.. they “just are”.

OK, that’s pretty much it for “Open Source” Flash CMS. Another route if you are trying to build a site that is easy to update, and you are cheap and don’t want to spend money on a commercial Flash CMS, try out GAIA Framework. It is not a Flash CMS, but with just a little programming you could easily use the frame work to hook it to a CMS. Even if you don’t hook it to a Flash CMS it’s pretty “designer friendly”

Here you go again, popping up on my google search LOL, and well yes we do need more “flash cms” information out there.. I’ve been following up on Silex but I am still not sure about it, since I gotta experiment more with it, and well the only kinda downside to it is It’s messy GUI when you log in =\ But hopefully they will improve it over time

Hi,
I’m one of the developers of silex. Thanks for your post. I’ll pass on the “fugly” comment to the designer, we’ve been trying to get him to do a new design ;-) We need contributors for many things, not just designs. Have you tried making a site with silex? Do you have any sugestions?
